Purpose
This website and the kdwhd.com domain are maintained solely for educational and demonstration purposes. These pages provide working examples of links, navigation, HTML elements, CSS styling, and JavaScript. They do not represent a separate business, organization, product, or commercial service.
About This Example Website
This website is a companion resource for the tutorials at KD Web Hosting Design. Its separate domain makes it possible to demonstrate external hyperlinks, navigation between websites, and HTML features that refer to another origin.
The examples focus on web development rather than unrelated sample businesses or topics. Separate articles about the history of the web, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript provide useful destinations for links and navigation exercises.
This page also demonstrates semantic structure with <header>, <nav>, <main>, and <footer> elements. Its layout adapts to different screen widths, while the navigation links at the top can jump to specific sections of the page.
What This Website Demonstrates
The pages are deliberately straightforward so each tutorial can focus on the feature being demonstrated.
- External links: Navigate between kdwebhostingdesign.com and kdwhd.com using full web addresses.
- Fragment links: Jump to the Purpose, About, and Features sections using an ID and a fragment identifier.
- Article navigation: Follow links to separate pages about web history, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Semantic HTML: Use headings, sections, lists, navigation, and footer content to organize a document.
- Presentation and behavior: Use a shared CSS file for styling and a small JavaScript file to display the current year.
